Ridgeway Boutique Hotel was envisioned as a retreat where modern comfort meets understated luxury. Designed to enhance the guest experience at every touchpoint, the project involved full architectural refinement, interior design, material curation, and spatial planning. Kiwoo was commissioned to transform an outdated lodge into a contemporary boutique destination with warmth, character, and timeless appeal.
The client sought a hotel that felt intimate yet elevated — a place where guests could feel both inspired and at ease. They wanted a design language rooted in natural materiality, soft atmospheres, and seamless circulation. The goal was to create a space that offered tranquility during the day, a sense of sophistication at night, and a welcoming ambience throughout. The project required reimagining all guest areas, including lobby, suites, dining spaces, and outdoor terraces.
We approached the design by embracing calm neutral palettes, layered textures, and subtle lighting to create immersive comfort. Spatial zoning was reorganized to improve flow between public and private areas, ensuring intuitive movement throughout the hotel. Custom-built furniture, warm timber accents, and soft textiles were introduced to reinforce a quiet, boutique character. Each suite was redesigned with an emphasis on natural light, privacy, and tactile materials that elevate the guest experience.
The hotel’s transformation centered on blending contemporary sensibilities with a sense of place. Large windows frame valley views, creating meaningful connections to the surrounding landscape. The lobby was redesigned to feel like an extension of a curated living room, using sculptural lighting and organic forms to set the tone. Guest suites feature minimal yet luxurious detailing, including stone vanities, bespoke joinery, and muted color palettes that promote calm. Communal areas such as the dining room and lounge adopt warmer tones to encourage interaction and slow moments.
Ridgeway Boutique Hotel now stands as a refined escape for travelers seeking comfort, beauty, and memorable experiences. The design balances modern elegance with a welcoming atmosphere that feels both curated and deeply human. Every detail — from textures to lighting to spatial rhythm — was crafted to ensure guests feel at ease from check-in to check-out.
